Monthly Events.
Our race night held on 8th October was a real success. Despite a rather disappointing
turn-out, those who did attend had an enjoyable evening and helped to raise an impressive
£870 profit. Thanks go to all of the sponsors for their generous donations, to Jock
Laird, our compare for the evening, and to Alan, Linda & Annie for their great
work as the bookies. Thanks also to Bill & Amanda behind the bar, Susan for the
buffet, and to everyone who took part in the sweeper or bought horses. Finally, thanks
to Margaret, Peter and Mike for all their help in organising and also their own generous
donations. Well done to all of the winners on the night, and better luck next time
to the rest of us. We’re holding a ‘fun games night’ on 29th October. Hope to see
some of you there.
